Volunteering

Smoketree Elementary appreciates and values volunteers. Are you interested in volunteering?

By volunteering, you enrich and enhance the learning opportunities of our students. Volunteers provide help to students, teachers, office staff, and the PTA. By being a volunteer you share in the responsibility of improving the education of all students at Smoketree. Volunteer training sessions are available through our volunteer coordinators.

If you have any questions about volunteering at Smoketree, please call 505-6020.

What is a Reading Hero?

A Reading Hero is a person who desires to work with children one-on-one or in small groups. He or she is someone who conducts him/herself in a professional manner, is reliable and prompt, neat in appearance, patient with students, shows personal concern for students, and helps to widen the horizons of students.

Smoketree Volunteers

Smoketree has a partnership with several community organizations. These volunteers work with students and teachers. They have bonded with the students and feel like they are a part of the Smoketree Team.

We sincerely welcome you to become a part of Cougar Country!
