Parent Committees
PTSO (Parent Teacher Student Organization)
What is PTSO?
PTSO is an organization of parents, teachers, and students working together to improve Smoketree Elementary School.
How does PTSO make our school better?
PTSO serves as a means of communication between home and school.
PTSO members help plan and organize special events such as book fairs, school read-ins, theme nights, and guest speakers that benefit students, teachers, and parents.
PTSO donates money (raised through membership dues and fundraising) to the school to purchase special materials not covered by the general budget.
When does PTSO meet?
Meetings are held monthly in the elementary school library. Your child will bring home a flyer of the specific dates and times. You can also check out the school calendar on the monthly newsletter. Babysitting is available.
You can contact PTSO at SmoketreePTSO@gmail.com.
